Woo hoo, I got to garage sale treasure hunt yesterday and it was such fun.
I feel like I haven’t done this for so long and so it was nice to be able to treasure hunt again, in the rain and all.
Here are my treasures….
A lovely ammunition box {I think} that could make a great shelf if my new nest.
Some cute little wheels. They’d look great on the wall.
A lovely 70’s biscuit tin that was in their rubbish pile. The girls were lovely at this garage sale. One of them remembers this tin filled with bikkies when she was younger.
Two lovely old frames. The second one also came with the photo of the man. I suggested, quite strongly, that they keep the photo as they believe him to be a distant family member. They assured me that they were happy to see the end of him as he looks so cranky. If he was smiling, they said they wouldn’t be giving him the flick. ***Note to self: smile in photos!
This old cordial box has been made into some sort of tool holder or bench. The bottom of it has been taken off and another one takes it’s place – fitted with holes for holding things. I’m thinking I’ll use it as a little table.
I have another one of these that my uncle gave me. It’s an old soft drink box with blue writing and it’s also from the snowy area. Not too far from my neck of the woods. This new treasure made me think of the lovely Ivy Nest today:)
$10 well spent, I feel.
Happy Weekend!
Kim xx

Oh definitely! All your rustic treasures are so special, but it is nice to see a local item in there ;) And fancy giving away the non smiley man!
